Vikings Athlete of the Week - Reese MacGillivray

CAMROSE, AB – September 27 – The Vikings Women’s Soccer team battled hard against the Red Deer Queens in a spirited matchup that showcased their grit and determination. While the final score didn’t fall in their favour, the Vikings controlled much of the first half, demonstrating the skill and intensity that has made them one of the top contenders in the league.

Leading the charge was second-year standout Reese MacGillivray, whose perseverance, reliability, and leadership anchored the Vikings’ defensive line. As a team captain, MacGillivray once again proved why she is such a vital presence on the field, setting the tone with her consistency and composure under pressure.

The Vikings now look ahead to Friday, October 3rd, when they host the SAIT Trojans in a highly anticipated rematch at 2:00 p.m. at home. This matchup marks the final regular season home game of the year—an opportunity to rally behind the team and cheer them on as they make their push toward the playoffs. Don’t miss it!
