The University of Alberta- Augustana Men’s Volleyball team are hitting the road alongside the women’s squad on October 25th where they will take on the Lakeland Rustlers. The Men’s and Women’s Home Opener will take place the following evening at the Augustana Gymnasium. 

Coming off the 2023/24 season with a 1-18 record, the Vikings take on a new mentality with focus on energy, offensive discipline and sideout game. The Vikings men’s volleyball were led last season by veterans Boris Kuljanin and team MVP Devon Nazarchuk. With Nazarchuk, Kuljanin and Libero, Joel Smith returning, this will be a team to watch coming into the fall campaign. This mixed with young and local talent the program should push for playoff positioning in February. 

Alumni and All conference Vikings Athlete Devin Varga will be back for his fourth year as head coach of this team. Varga will be joined with alumni player Dan Johnson in an assistant coach position this year.
