
The University of Alberta - Augustana Vikings Women’s Volleyball team are set to begin their season on October 25, taking on reigning National Champions, Lakeland Rustlers at Lakeland College. The squads home opener will be set the next day, October 26, at the Augustana Gymnasium.
The Vikings finished last season with a 16-3 record, clinching sixth place in WVB championships at Lethbridge Polytechnic. With standout performances last season, two Women’s Volleyball athletes shone brightly including, CCAA Player of the Year Shae Boyes and All Conference Middle Blocker Emily Peterson.
The Vikings look to build off their previous success as the fall campaign approaches. The team will be led by Steve Enright coming into his sixth season as head coach. The Vikings bring on key additions to the coaching staff including previous Vikings athlete Sarah Singular who will provide leadership and guidance as one of the Vikings key players last season.
With six key players leaving the roster, including captain Addi Wolosuk, veterans Racquel Lussier, Phaedra Bruens and Kari White will look to lead the team this season

The Vikings are excited to announce that they will be hosting this year's ACAC Women’s Volleyball Championships at the Augustana Gymnasium, February 20-22. This gives the Vikings a secured spot to attend the Championships, hoping to clinch a top two spot and head to Nationals at Durham College in Ontario.
