Vikings Women's Volleyball Season Preview

CAMROSE, AB- Coming off an impressive 2024/25 campaign, the Vikings are hungry to build on their success and make another deep run at the CCAA National stage—this time with even bigger goals in sight. With an ACAC Championship banner within reach, the team is focused, motivated, and ready to prove they belong among the best once again.

One of the most consistently dominant programs in recent years, the Vikings continue to set the standard with a strong returning core and a wave of new talent eager to make their mark. This season’s roster blends veteran leadership with youthful energy, creating a dynamic lineup that’s ready to compete at the highest level. With championship experience and a renewed sense of drive, the Vikings are poised for another standout year filled with grit, growth, and the pursuit of more hardware.

“We are optimistic on building on last year's success” says Head Coach Steve Enright. ”We have had a fruitful pre-season where we played well against good competition but more importantly have really come together as one team with one heartbeat. With 6 of 7 starters returning, several key additions and role players growing their game, we feel we have the pieces to be a top team in the country. That being said, we know we are in the toughest conference in the country and nothing will be easy all year.”

Looking Ahead:

The Vikings are set to kick off their highly anticipated season on October 17th, opening at home in front of what’s sure to be an energetic crowd. They’ll face off against the Olds College Broncos at 6:00 p.m., setting the stage for an exciting start to the year.

Fans can expect a thrilling matchup as the Vikings look to make an early statement and carry the momentum from last season into their 2025/26 campaign. With new talent joining a strong returning core, the home opener promises to showcase the team’s skill, and relentless drive right from the first whistle.
