The giving spirit has started early at Augustana as both Vikings soccer team got together for the third consecutive year to pack 58 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. The tradition, which started when coach Tom McManus came on board as men's soccer coach in 2015, has been one that has brought the team and coaches together every year. Athletes are encouraged to bring donations, either bought on their own or donated by friends and family, to help fill the boxes, which are donated and shipped off to various countries in need every year by Samaritan's Purse.
