Scoring in the 69th minute on Saturday night, Vanessa Tollefson's goal resulted in the difference maker over the Ambrose Lions picking up an important three points in standings and earning her Vikings Athlete of the Week.

Tollefson has had plenty of luck this season when taking on the Lions as she added the insurance goal back on September 9th in the Vikings 3-0 win, before picking up her second of the season this past weekend in the two-team final match-up of the season.

The netter helped the Vikings hold on to sole possession of fourth place in the south and now sit just one point back of the third and final ACAC Championship spot with three games remaining.

Tollefson and the Vikings will have a busy weekend ahead as they host the Olds Broncos on Saturday at noon on Augustana Field before heading south to take on the Medicine Hat Rattlers on Sunday at 2pm. The Vikings have previously taken the wins over both teams in their match-ups earlier this year.
