Vikings' Klassen rink curling in 2018 CCAA Championship

The Augustana Vikings Men’s Curling team is competing in an unprecedented celebration of Canadian championship curling this week in Leduc.

After winning the bronze medal at the ACAC Conference Championship, the Augustana Men’s Curling team with skip Andrew Klassen, third Colton Simard, second Austin Lavallee, lead Aidan Anderson and alternate Jackson Sweder are in Leduc going for gold at the Leduc Recreation Centre. The CCAA Gold and Bronze medal finals are scheduled for Wednesday, March 28.

This is the 14th CCAA National championship event and the first time it will be staged in cooperation with Curling Canada. The 'Curl 4 Canada' event is combining four Canadian curling championships – U Sports, CCAA, Canadian Wheelchair Curling and Canadian Mixed Doubles. Leduc is a short drive down the road from Camrose, so come cheer on your Vikings! Tickets are available online for $15 per day or $60 for all 16 draws of the U Sports and CCAA divisions.
