Skip Josie Zimmerman led the Vikings to victory last year, and is back with vice-skip Claire Bevan-Stewart (moving from second last year) and second Hope Zimmerman (moving from alternate last year). The team is rounded out by new lead Randi Cameron and new head coach Steve Lindberg. The team will play their first draw Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. MDT against the Fanshawe College Falcons, skipped by Veronica Van Broekhoven, from London, Ont.

Getting to this year's championship was no easy feat as the team finished the Alberta Colleges Athletics Conference regional season with a 7-5, heading into the ACAC Championship as the fourth and final seed. However, three upsets over the second-ranked RDP Queens earned the Vikings a Bronze medal, their fifth consecutive at the championship, and booked a ticket to nationals.

Earning their first-ever CCAA Championship in 2023, the Vikings will hope to recreate some of that same magic again this week in order to defend their title.

The Vikings Championships Draw will be:

  • Vikings vs Fanshawe Falcons - Tuesday at 1:30pm MDT
