CAMROSE, AB - After a weekend away, the University of Alberta, Augustana Vikings hit the court against King's College Eagles, winning 97-76, Friday night at Augustana gym.

With the win, the Vikings improve to 4-1 heading in the holiday break, taking sole possession of second place in the ACAC North Division. Meanwhile, the Eagles drop to 0-4 on the season and sit last in the north.

Having himself a night was fifth-year and Vikings captain, Nathan Bowie who had a total of 45 points, 31 of which came in the first half. Across the court, third-year guard Nic Gregersen finished with 24 points.

Getting the quick start off the tip-off was the Eagles, leading 4-0 through the first two minutes of the game, however, that was all the air the Vikings would give as they settled into the game and led the first quarter, 25-13.

The home side maintained their lead throughout the second, but the Eagles closed in on the total scoring in the quarter with 22 points, while the Vikings netted 25. However, it would not be enough to close the gap that had already been created as the Vikings went into halftime up, 50-35.

Heading into the third, the Vikings were once again off to a slow start scoring only seven points compared to the Eagles 11 through the first five minutes. However, once again the Vikings would come alive and not stop, cruising to a 97-76 victory.

Looking ahead, the Vikings will rest up until the new year when they hit the court against the Eagles once again on January 14th, 2022 in Edmonton. The Eagles will round out their fall semester half of the season tomorrow night at home as they take on the NAIT Ooks. Catch all the action on ACACTV!
