Harder puts up 29 points in win over Rattlers

CAMROSE, AB - Looking for momentum into playoffs, the University of Alberta -Augustana Vikings took the win over the Medicine Hat College Rattlers 78-66, Friday night at Augustana Gym.

The win gives the Vikings some possible momentum nearing the end of the regular season as they await to see who they play in an ACAC Championship play-in match next weekend as they have locked down fourth place in the north division.

Meanwhile, the Rattlers wrap up their regular season with a seven-game skid but will remain have a seat in the south division play-in game next weekend.

Lead by a big force, the Vikings found success from Nic Harder with 29 points, 10 rebounds and two assists. Fellow teammate, Eli Schmuland added 19 points and five rebounds to the tally.

Across the court, the Rattler's success was led by game leader Cooper Ward who had 32 points, 14 rebounds and three assists on the night.

Being neck-and-neck through 30 minutes of play, it was nearly all Vikings in the final and deciding quarter, putting up 29 points to claim the 78-66 win.

Tomorrow night the Vikings will finish off their regular season against the Briercrest Clippers at home at 8pm.
