Viking win their second straight to close out the regular season

CAMROSE, AB - In a high-scoring battle, the University of Alberta - Augustana Vikings defeat the Briercrest College Clippers 95-88, Saturday night at Augustana Gym.

The game closes out the regular season for the Vikings who will advance to an ACAC Championship Play-in game next weekend after finishing fourth in the north division. Meanwhile, the Clippers will see their season come to an end.

Nic Hard lead the Vikings with a whopping 36 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Across the court, the Clippers found success from Oroma Bongomin who had 28 points on the night.

Mirroring the women's game that tipped off earlier in the day, the Vikings fell behind early after 10 minutes of play, 32-22. However, they would rebound to explode to a 33-18 third-quarter lead to close the gap before carrying their momentum in the fourth and final quarter to win the game 95-88.

The Vikings will take on the Northwestern Polytechnic Wolves on Saturday at home with tipoff set for 7pm.
