CAMROSE, Alta. - In a game that ended closer than many anticipated throughout the night. The Augustana Vikings men's basketball team was able to hold of the visiting Olds Broncos by a score of 80-77 at the Augustana gymnasium Friday night. 

The Vikings held a 17 point lead late in the third quarter when the Broncos found momentum on their side. Led on the evening by Gurech Gurech who finished the evening with 20 points, the Broncos picked away at the lead in the fourth quarter and managed to tie the game with only seconds remaining. Fortunately for the Vikings, veteran Marc Parma managed to hit a layup in the final seconds of the game to give the Vikings a two point lead, Parma ended the night with a game high 26 points. 

With the loss the Broncos fall to 5-14 on the season and will finish the year outside of playoff contention. The Vikings will look to move into sole possession of 5th in the ACAC North Division and a playoff spot when they travel to Red Deer tomorrow to take on the Kings at 8pm.
