CAMROSE, Alta- Augustana Vikings secured a 4-3 overtime win by outshooting NAIT Ooks in the second game of the home and home series at Encana Arena on Saturday night.

Returning to home ice after narrowly losing to NAIT 4-3 Friday night, the Vikings quickly rallied together, with #77 Jake Gudjanson opening the scoring 4 minutes in. With tension between the two teams after last nights tight matchup, penalty minutes stacked up as both teams fought to come out on top. Not trailing the entire game, the Vikings led 2-1 at the end of the first period and extended their lead to 3-1 heading into the third.

Although Ooks were unable to get many pucks past the Vikings defense, #2 Drae Gardiner, was able to find the back of the net to put the visiting side on the board. #23 Ethan Leyer, with his 11th goal of the season, helped as Ooks were able to get two goals in the third, tying it up to force the game to overtime.

The Vikings won the game in overtime with hometown, #91 Conrad Phillips, scoring the game-winning goal, adding to his assist from earlier in the game for a multi point night.
Both teams have clinched a playoff spot, with NAIT sitting in 2nd place and Augustana sitting in 4th place in the ACAC. The Vikings take on Portage next weekend with puck drop at 7pm, forone last weekend before heading to the Championship which begins March 1st on ACACTV.
