Vikings and Korea University face off for the third time

The Vikings will play host to the Korea University Men’s Hockey team for the third time in the last 18 months as part of a six-game ACAC series, playing at Encana Arena on January 24th at 12:00pm.

CAMROSE, Alta. - As part of a six-game international exhibition series against six of seven ACAC Men’s Hockey teams, the Vikings will host the Korea University Tigers on Wednesday, January 24th at 12:00pm at Encana Arena.

Previously, hosting the Tiger during their 2022-23 pre-season, the two teams will face off again to facilitate an evaluation of their Tiger's application to compete in the ACAC as a full men’s hockey member starting during the 2024-25 season. 

Having played last September, the Vikings earned a 4-2 win, before following it up with s 5-3 win the following night.

Throughout the tour so far, the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder claimed a 4-3 overtime win on January 12th, the reigning ACAC Champions NAIT Ooks took a 4-1 win on January 17th, before the Tiger got their first win on January 20th scoring seven goals compared to the Portage College Voyageurs three.

The Tigers will wrap up the series with a game on January 28th against the SAIT Trojans before closing it out on January 31st versus the Briercrest Clippers. All games can be watched in person or on ACAC TV.
