Qualifying for playoffs as the fourth seed, the Vikings earned home-ice advantage during the ACAC Championship opening round against the fifth-seeded Trojans with the series slated to start on Friday, March 1 at Winsport in Calgary for a 7:00pm MST puck drop.

The Vikings will then host game two on home ice at Encana Arena with a possible game three scheduled for Sunday at Encana Arena.

  • Game 1: Vikings at Trojans - Winsport - 7:00pm

  • Game 2: Trojans at Vikings - Encana Arena - 6:00pm

  • Game 3 (if necessary) - Encana Arena - 3:00pm

Having last faced each other in the 2022 quarterfinal round, the Vikings came out on top to advance following a 2-0 series victory thanks to a 4-0 game one win on the road and a 3-2 home ice win.

Over the course of the conference season, the two teams met a total of four times with the Vikings winning three of four games with 17 different student-athletes picking up a point. Leading the series in points was veteran Tavis Roch with five assists, while Conrad Phillips led in goals with three.

The Vikings will be looking to improve on their season finishes after claiming bronze in 2022 and 2023. The winner of the quarterfinal series will advance to the semifinal to take on either the Briercrest Clippers or RDP Kings in the best-of-three series. Catch all the action on ACAC TV.
