CAMROSE, Alta. - The Augustana Vikings men's hockey team lives to see another day after a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory on Sunday afternoon. The Sait Trojans were seconds away from ending the series when Jack Hamly scored for the Vikings to send the game into extra time.

Both goaltenders, Daniel Moody for the Vikings and Andrew Maclean for the Trojans played excellent all afternoon as neither team would find the back of the net until the third period. Opening the scoring early in the third period, the Trojans took a 1-0 lead on a goal from Dylan Clark. In what was considered an insurance goal, the Trojans scored with 2:15 remaining to take a two goal lead stranglehold.

With the season on the line, Jack Hamly willed his team to overtime scoring two goals in a matter of 1:50 to extend the game into overtime. The Trojans looked to build on the momentum after killing a penalty in overtime, however Augustana would end the series on a game winner from Jacob Biensch. This ends another successful season for the Sait Trojans, while the Augustana Vikings move on to the conference semi finals facing the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings.
