The Vikings woes continue as they remain winless on the season

CAMROSE, AB - Looking to find their first win, the University of Alberta - Augustana Vikings found no such luck as they dropped their eighth straight match, losing 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-17) to the Olds College Broncos.

With the win, the Broncos improve to 3-4 on the season, while the Vikings will continue looking for their first.

Leading on the court, Matteus Franca had eight kills, six digs and one ace, while his teammate Sean Vanderzee had 21 assists. Across the court, Jonah Vander Leek and Devon Nazarchuk both had six kills each for their side.

Although the home side did not pick up a set, they put up a fight exchanging points with their guests, but couldn't get the upper hand losing the opening set, 25-17.

Drawing even closer the battle ragged as the Vikings pushed the Broncos, working to avoid a larger hole. However, luck would prevail on the maroon side, 25-21.

The story would turn a page back to the storyline of the first set as the Broncos took the final set and the match, 25-17.

Looking ahead, the Vikings will head south to Calgary to take on the SAIT Trojans tomorrow night, while the Broncos will host Medicine Hat College in a two-game series at home next weekend.
