In a single game to close out the 2023 year, Calder Thompson was impressive in a narrow loss to the Lakeland Rustlers on Friday night, 3-2 (18-25, 21-25, 25-19, 26-24, 15-10), earning this week's Vikings Athlete of the Week, presented by Dominos.

Playing in all five sets, Thompson had 38 assists, 13 digs and one block, while going three for three on the attack for three kills.

Thompson and the Vikings will take a break until January 12th for exams and the holiday break before taking to the court again, hosting the SAIT Trojans.
