CAMROSE, AB - Not faltering on the night, the Keyano Huskies take a straight-set 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-17 victory over the University of Alberta - Augustana Vikings, Friday night at Augustana Gym.

With the win the Huskies improve to 3-0 on the season, while the Vikings will have to continue looking for their first win of the year.

Leading the night was Rafael Parada and Joao Cunha who each put down 11 kills, while setter Noah Gagné with a staggering 30 assists. Cunha ass five aces to the score sheet to top off the night.

Across the court, the Vikings found some offence from Jonah Vander Leek and Ricky Birkill with four kills each, while Calder Thompson helped out with 12 assists.

Leading the way throughout the opening set, the Huskies put the first set to bed with a speedy 25-16 before making identical tactics to go up two sets to none with another 25-16 win.

Hoping to rewrite the story in set three, the Vikings put up a fight to start, but it would not be enough as they dropped the third and final set, 25-17.

Both teams will face off again tomorrow at 3:00 pm MT at Augustana Gym for a rematch and final regular season meeting between the two. Catch all the action on ACAC TV.
