CAMROSE, Alta. - In an exciting and close weekend matchup, the Augustana Vikings and Concordia Thunder men's volleyball teams exchanged road wins with the Thunder winning in four sets at the Augustana Gymnasium Saturday night three sets to one.

The Vikings used their momentum from Friday evening snapping a 37 game losing streak to come out firing and take the first set with a final score of 25-20. Camrose local Dawson Sparrow got the start setting for the Vikings in front of a large hometown crowd who had interest in both teams with Augustana and Concordia having Camrose talent on their rosters.

The Thunder had different plans from Augustana's weekend sweep and tied the game at one set a piece after winning the second set 25-16. The Thunder were led by Austin Wilson who played the difference maker in the evening with great defence and adding six kills on the night. Augustana's Jake Christensen was a standout for the local Vikings with six kills of his own and added four blocks.

Augustana will face the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings at the Augustana Campus on February 10th to round out their season. The Thunder will travel south to take on the Medicine Hat Rattlers at 8pm, all action can be found on ACACTV.
