CAMROSE, Alta. - Celebrating Senior night on Saturday at Augustana gymnasium, the University of Alberta- Augustana Vikings were unable to defeat Red Deer Kings in a 3-1 loss.

Home court proved to have some advantages for the Vikings as they took the first set stumping the top ranked Kings. In the second set, the Kings bumped up the pressure as they took control of the game. With players,Nicholas Possingham and Brody Kopec, both adding 10 kills and Zachary Neufeld with 8 kills, Red Deer found their momentum winning the next three sets to win the game 3-1. 

Despite the loss, Vikings played a memorable last game as they honored their senior players in front of a home crowd. Powerhouse veteran Boris Kuljanin led the night with 10 kills and 4 digs. Capping off the night, Bryce Boan finished with a season best 8 digs.

Red Deer travels to Olds next Saturday at 8pm as they play one more game against the Broncos before heading to the ACAC championship beginning February 22nd. All of the action can be found on Telus OptikTV and ACACTV.
