Devin grew up in the small town of Muenster, SK. He loved sports and played a wide variety during his high school years but naturally gravitated towards volleyball because of his parents' love for the game. After high school he moved to Camrose to attend Augustana and continue his volleyball career.

He started as a red shirt in 2011 but by the time he graduated in 2016 he had won a bronze and gold medal at the conference championships as well as two all conference awards. After getting his B.S. degree in Kinesiology and Sports Studies he seized an opportunity to play out his last year of eligibility in the second half of the 2017 season for the Keyano Huskies in Fort McMurray. He finished his career off winning one more bronze medal.

Devin always knew he wanted to get into coaching and now that his playing career was over he could start to do that. Camrose and the Vikings volleyball program had a special place in his heart so he moved back to Camrose and began by helping coach his old team. He spent the next three seasons as an assistant coach for the Vikings. On top of helping the Vikings last season he also decided to coach for the local BVRC 14U girls team. He is now extremely excited to begin his head coaching career with the team he started with.
