Augustana sent a team of 11 runners, several new to racing indoors, to the first-annual MacEwan University Invitational at Kinsmen Field House on Saturday.
Lane Anderson and Brett Meyer both achieved big personal bests on the 300 metre dash, and Lukas Visser picked up 3 points after a strong race for 6th place. Lydia Brown had a very fast race but unfortunately stepped on the line, which unfortunately meant disqualification.
In the 3000, Joedy Dalke was 3rd and Erik Rust was 5th - very strong running by both of them. Emil Yim achieved a new personal best. Emily McIlroy picked up 4 points, and is on her way to big improvement once she gets more speedwork in.
Analise Lehners, Chiedza Mutize and Daniella Burke ran well on the 1000 metre with Analise only 10 seconds away from collecting a point.
