Third year point guard Samantha Dargis of Beaumont, AB dropped 27 points in the home opener in Camrose on October 12 against the Concordia Thunder. Sam played a total of 26 minutes and went 5 for 6 from beyond the arc to help the Vikings pull out a 81-80 victory.

For her solid performance, Dargis was also awarded the ACAC Athlete of the Week.

Samantha Dargis is from Beaumont, Alberta and is in her 3rd year playing with the Vikings, primarily as a point guard. She is enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program, majoring in Psychology and hopes to one day become a teacher. As a returning player, Sam hopes the team will make a run in play-offs but also have fun! When Sam is not on the court, you can find her with friends, studying or napping. Her favorite tv show is New Girl and she often watches the same 3 episodes over and over again. Her favorite food is pizza and tacos. Sam's favorite member of her family is her sister's dog Gus.
