Women's Basketball ACAC All-Conference Awards:

Jessica Haenni, First Team All-Conference
Jessica is from Pigeon Lake, Alberta and is in her second year playing with the Vikings, primarily as a point guard. She is enrolled in a Bachelor science, majoring in Biology. As a returning player, Jessica hopes that the team will make playoffs. When Jessica is not on the basketball court, you can find her in the gym, having a snack, studying or chilling with friends. Jessica does not read because she would rather watch a movie or sleep than pick up a book. Her favorite tv show is Friends or How I Met Your Mother and her favorite food is ice cream. One of her favorite inspirational quotes is "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard." -Tim Notke 

Samantha Dargis, Second Team All-Conference
Sam is from Beaumont and is in her 3rd year playing with the Vikings, primarily as a point guard. She is enrolled In Bachelor of Arts Psychology and hopes to one day become a teacher. As a returning player, Sam hopes the team will make a run in play-offs but also have fun! When Sam is not on the court, you can find her with friends, studying or napping. Her favorite tv show is New Girl and she often watches the same 3 episodes over and over again. Her favorite food is pizza and tacos. Sam's favorite member of her family is her sister's dog Gus.

Torey Lauber, Second Team All-Conference
Torey is from Ryley, Alberta and is in her fifth and final year playing with the Vikings, primarily as a guard. She is enrolled in the Bachelor of Management program with aspirations of becoming a lawyer. As a returning player, Torey hopes to make a playoff run and continue to beat her blonde teammates in every warm up game of kickball.

When Torey is not on the basketball court, you can find her baking cookies, doing any form of cardio, or online shopping for any neutral coloured clothing. Her favorite book is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Torey will rewatch Gossip Girl and How I Met Your Mother a thousand times, and her favourite food is tacos. She is the daughter of Lonnie and Michele Lauber, who never miss a game, and the sister of Alex and Jaron.

Tobore Okome, North Division, Rookie of the Year
Tobore is from Edmonton, Alberta and it is in her first year playing with the Vikings, primarily as a small forward. She is enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology and hopes one day to be a clinical psychologist. Tobore chose to come to Augustana because of the amazing basketball program as well as inviting teammates.

Off the court, you can find Tobore watching romantic movies or binge eating unhealthy snacks. Her favourite movie is Black Panther and her favourite food is either steak or sushi or a combination of both.

Robyn Fleckenstein, North Division, Coach of the Year
Robyn has over 10 years of coaching experience since, including high school, club and at the provincial level in Alberta and Nova Scotia, as well as four years as an assistant with the University of Alberta Pandas. She spent the summer in 2009 working camps in the USA for point guard college. Prior to moving to Alberta, Ms. Fleckenstein coached the U14 Provincial team in Nova Scoatia, moving on to coach with the Junior Pandas in Edmonton from 2013 to 2017, with her U15 Team winning the league (PEBL) championship this past spring. Ms. Fleckenstein coached 2014-2015 at Strathcona High School and in 2015-2017 at Ross Sheppard High School while teaching High School Science. This is her second year at the helm of the University of Alberta Augustana Vikings; winning the ACAC Women's Basketball Coach of the Year title in 2018-19.
She considers her coaching mentors to be her high school/university coach Bev Greenlaw, her step-father, Ian MacMillan; and Scott Edwards of the University of Alberta Pandas.
