CAMROSE, Alta. - In a closely contested showdown, Keyano Huskies were able to edge past the University of Alberta- Augustana Vikings with a final score of 64-56, to keep their team alive for a shot at the ACAC championship.

The game kicked off with intensity in the air at Augustana gym, both teams looking to advance on. With an even matchup on the court, Vikings were first to add to the scoreboard as Huskies had a shaky start, struggling to get a basket. However, once the Huskies shook out their nerves, they started to take control of the court late in the first and into the second quarter. The first half ended with Keyano up by 8.

The third quarter proved Vikings were not to be underestimated as they outscored Keyano, closing the gap to a 1 point deficit. With tensions high and the crowd on the edge of their seats,  the game was still anyones to take and both teams knew that as it was win or go home. Versatility was an advantage for Huskies, as Jaylynn Twin added 16 points and 10 rebounds and Kaylynn Tucker had 13 points and 4 assists. Coming off the bench for Vikings, Alyssa Banez had a season best with 16 points. As both teams fought to the bitter end, ultimately, Keyano came out on top, ending the Vikings season.
