Leslie's coach, Graeme Thain at Ecole Camrose Composite High School, was excited to hear that she had made the team at Augustana. According to Thain, Leslie had been a starter on the school's team since Grade 10 and according to him she was " anintegral part of the senior girls' volleyball team for three years." Leslie was also named the 2017 MVP and he said that while Leslie will be missed, "she has left a lasting mark on the program so that our returning players will still carry her leadership skills, work ethic, intensity and most importantly team mentality into next season. We wish her all the best at the University of Alberta - Augustana Campus where she is taking her next step in her volleyball career."
