The Augustana Vikings are proud of the athletes they bring on board every year. To help welcome the rookies joining the team in the coming year, we'll be profiling each of the players from various teams individually over the coming weeks and months. Each player will be asked the same set of questions to help Vikings fans get to know their incoming athletes.

  1. What position do you play?

    Outside hitter/libero

  2. How long have you been playing your sport?

I have been playing volleyball for six years.

  3. What helps you drive to succeed in your chosen sport?

The competitive pressure is what motivates me. Having always played against the top club and school teams is what has pushed my previous teams to strive for success, and the positive pressure I receive from my teammates and coaches to be the best player I can be is what helps me develop personally, and reach my goals.

  4. What are some personal goals you hope to achieve during your time at Augustana?

At Augustana I hope to meet some friends and learn how to become more physically independent.

    1. What program are you taking at Augustana and why?

I am taking a bachelor of science, and plan to eventually move towards pharmacy.

    2. Why did you choose to attend Augustana?

I chose Augustana because I loved the idea of the smaller campus and class sizes, and Camrose is not too far away from my home in Grande Prairie.

  5. Who is someone who inspires you and why?

My parents and coaches inspire me because they have taught me important lessons, as well as selflessly give me the confidence that I need when it comes to achieving what they know I am capable of.
  6. What is something you enjoy spending time on outside of your sport and school?

School and volleyball consume most of my time and focus over the school year, but during my off season in the summer, I like spending time outdoors and creating new experiences traveling with my family and friends.
