Vikings Women's Volleyball Head Coach, Greg Ryan is excited to have Boyes join the Vikings. "She rounds out a remarkable recruiting class and will be a great addition as an outside hitter."

1) What position do you play?
I'm an outside hitter.
2) How long have you played Volleyball?
I've been playing volleyball as long as I can remember, but on teams for the last six years.
3) What are your personal goals as a player at Augustana?
I hope to make a positive impact on the team, and to challenge myself individually.
3) What academic program and why?
I am taking a Bachelor of Arts with a major of Physical Education(Kinesiology and Sport Studies). I want to extend my knowledge on athletics, hoping one day I'll be able to help athletes recover from injuries.
4) Why did you choose Augustana Campus and the University of Alberta?
It's close to where my family lives and the small town environment is very similar to my hometown.
5) Who is someone that inspired you to play?
After seeing the love and passion my sister and my parents had for the game, it inspired me to get involved with the sport.
5) What other hobbies do you have?
In my off time I like to go to the gym or spend time outside, typically at the lake.
6) What drives you to succeed?
The passion for the game and to be the strongest player I'm capable of being. Also I want to make my parents as proud as possible, and that pushes me to do my best.

Boyes is from Rimbey, AB and is in her first year with the Vikings, playing primarily as a left side. She is enrolled in Bachelor of Arts major in Physical Education(Kinesiology and Sport Studies) and one day hopes to become a rehabilitation therapist. Boyes chose to come to Augustana because she is close to home and loves the small town environment.
When Boyes is not on the volleyball court you can find her at the gym, at the lake, or eating. Her favourite book is 19 Minutes, or One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. Her favourite show is Friends and her favourite food is pizza.
