Timothy Shapka is a 1st year Biology/Mathematics major from St. Paul, AB. He came to Augustana to take a Bachelor of Science and education degree. He is undecided on his future, but is interested in careers in research and teaching. If he could meet one person, he would chose Neil Degrasse Tyson: “one of the most interesting conversationalists on the planet to me.”

As an athlete, Timothy’s biggest influence is Terry Fox.  For this season, his goal is simply to improve on his current ability. His most memorable sports moment was winning gold in a taekwondo sparring tournament. J.R.R Tolkien is his favourite author, but The Martian is his favourite book.
