Rayna Welsh is a first year Psychology major from Forestburg, Alberta. She hopes to become a Psychologist or Psychiatrist and stay local.

She would most like to meet Ed Sheeran; “he is a huge inspiration to me and his songs have got me through a lot. Music is the best way for me to cope and deal with life.” As an athlete her biggest influence is her brother, who has shown her that hard work and dedication really does get you places, and you need to be committed to the sport you are playing. He is also her favourite opponent to race against.

She has been a recreational skier for 2 years and her goals or expectations for the season are to better my skills at the sport. Her most memorable sports moment was making the Augustana Club basketball team and winning the league. When not in class, Rayna does homework, fundraises for her next build trip, and hangs with family and friends.

Her favourite sports team is Miami Heat and favourite athlete is Lebron James. She loves to watch Maze Runner and “Friends,” eat pizza, and read Beautiful Creatures or anything by Maragret Stohl.
