The first year Centreman for the U of A – Augustana Vikings kicked off his ACAC career with a very productive weekend to help his team take four points from the Concordia Thunder to begin the 2018-19 season.
On Friday evening in Edmonton, Reed made a beautiful behind-the-back pass to set-up the Vikings go-ahead goal just 32 seconds after the Thunder had tied the game. The play sparked the Vikings to 4 straight goals in the 2nd period on route to their 6-2 road victory. Saturday night in Camrose saw Gunville score his first 2 ACAC goals when he scored in the 3rd period and again in double O.T. when his game-winning goal highlighted the Vikings Home-Opener in their 4-3 victory. For his efforts, Reed was named the Vikings Game Star and he finished the two game set at a team best, plus 3 to go along with his 2 goals and 3 points on the weekend. The product of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan is studying Physical Education at the U of A – Augustana Campus. Congrats Reed!

Reed Gunville is from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, in his first year with the Vikings. His primary position is Forward. Majoring in Kinesiology, Gunville chose Augustana because of the high quality education and strong hockey program. When he is not at the rink you can find him at the lake, hanging out with friends, or watching sports. His favorite food is 'anything pasta'.
